What is the focus of Cameleon Designs?

The focus of my business, Cameleon Designs, is to visually tell stories that lead to actions that grow my clients’ missions and success.

Why did you decide to start Cameleon Designs?

Cameleon Designs started for me as a freelance identity in 2004. I’ve worked for various marketing companies over the last 13 years. I am now working as an independent graphic / web designer and consultant.

Who are your clients?

Clients that I work with include Catholic Charities, Believe Big, The MDHCC, There Goes My Hero, Digi Daze Marketing, Zolve Creative, DAASN, restaurant owners and various small businesses.

What impact has being a member of the MDHCC had on you and your business?

Being involved with the MDHCC has been a rewarding experience in the professionals that I have met and the new friendships that it has started. I enjoy doing design for MDHCC to help further their mission and growth as an organization.

Why did you choose Maryland as the place in which to do business?

I love our city. Baltimore has such a diverse landscape and a lot of beautiful people and places. I’ve lived here all my life.

What inspires you?

I find my inspiration mainly in everyday life and in the people that I come in contact with. I love working with Entrepreneurs and small business owners that are just starting out. I find joy and inspiration in building relationships with them and hearing their stories and passions. It’s rewarding to listen to someone articulate a dream, picking up that energy from them and then visually bringing that to life for them on multiple levels.

Who is your mentor?

The lord is my main mentor in that I like to read the bible, understand it and try to apply it in my life.

Bachata, Merengue or Salsa?

I certainly love to Salsa. I enjoy going to salsa lessons at various venues in Baltimore. It’s a fun way to meet people and learn different dance techniques and styles.

Any other fun fact about you or your business?

I’m often asked why I picked the Cameleon and why the h got dropped. I choose the Cameleon because I feel it is such a unique and distinctly interesting creature, yet it has the ability to also blend in when needed. As for the h, it’s silent anyway. I took liberties there and felt without the h the word feels less complicated. That after all is much of what I do. Simplifying and streamlining the chaotic into something that is easily digested and conveys a strong message.
