Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Achieves
Chamber Training Institute Certification

Baltimore, MD—November 16, 2017—The Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MDHCC), the leading chamber of commerce representing and connecting over 60,000 Hispanic-owned businesses in the region, proudly announces its certification with the Chamber Training Institute (CTI). This prestigious accomplishment, which marks the successful completion of chamber-oriented courses presented by the Nonprofit Certificate Education Program of the University of Notre Dame, reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to excellence.

The chamber met its certification requirement by completing three programs offered by CTI, Coalition Building Across Underrepresented Chambers, Revamping Your Development Plan and Grant Proposal Writing. Three MDHCC board officers, including Chairman Jorge Eduardo Castillo, Secretary Corey Grunert, and Greater Baltimore Regional Chapter President, Corina Morga, attended courses offered by CTI in 2017.

“A chamber of commerce, just like any institution or enterprise, must include continuing education for its leaders as part of their strategy,” said Castillo. “Obtaining this certification shows our commitment to chamber development in order to provide our members with the best quality programming and opportunities to establish, grow, prosper and retain their businesses in Maryland,” he concluded.
