Dear members and friends,

It sure feels like July already! Please be sure to register for our Summer MDHCC Networking After 5 taking place on July 19 at the gorgeous rooftop deck of 10 Light Street. You will be part of a rooftop reunion in the heart of downtown Baltimore with some of Maryland’s top professionals and organizations, complete with fantastic food and drinks included in your ticket. Tickets are limited, so make sure you register early.

As we continue to move forward with our 5-year growth plan, we have made excellent progress in building partnerships in the Capitol region, particularly in Prince George’s County, where we are grateful and honored to have County Executive Baker’s support for the establishment of the MDHCC Capital Area Regional Chapter (CARC). This chapter will serve the needs of the growing Hispanic communities in the counties of Montgomery, Frederick, and Prince George’s. The highest number of Hispanics and Latinos in Maryland is found in Prince George’s County, thus, it makes sense to have our regional headquarters there.

We are currently finalizing discussions with the Economic Development Corporation of P.G. County and are planning an official launch in Q4 of 2018. We are amidst assembling our CARC leadership team and would like your participation. Please send an email with your resume/CV and a letter of intent to to be considered. Requirements are: unbendable ethics, vision, a desire to help without expecting returns to benefit you or your business directly (you and your business will benefit tremendously in the long term, however), grit, perseverance and commitment to follow through with what you say you will do.

Lastly, we had a tremendous inaugural MDHCC Minority Entrepreneurship Expo, which this year focused on The Future of Food. Please watch our recap video expertly filmed and edited by our partners, Adventure Productions and get inspired here: If you want to be part of the MDHCC Minority Expo or Gala planning committee, please email (for the Expo) or for the Gala.

I wish you and yours a very happy 4th of July!
